Bridge Gatehouse

The Bridge Gatehouse, one of the biggest pieces I have worked on, is finally finished! As I'd always wanted to work on a stylized exterior environment, I was heavily inspired by the wonderful concept art 'Medieval Gatehouse' by Sihun Park (found here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3wKyB).

I initially worked on a 'proof of concept' piece back in June, in which I focused solely on the guardhouse in order to figure out the artstyle, (see here: https://anupama_narayan.artstation.com/projects/DLxleO). When the experiment was successful, I finalized the rest of the pieces, including the Gatehouse, the props such as the boat, crates etc. I worked on the relevant trim sheets, modular assets etc. in order to create what I refer to as the 'civilization' portions of the concept.

After assembling the same in Unreal, I focused on the 'wilderness' aspects - the trees, rocks, the lake etc. The sky setup is not mine, and all credit goes to the 'Stylized Dynamic Sky & Weather System' by 'So Stylized' who has created a brilliant dynamic sky system with lots of customization options (see here: https://www.fab.com/listings/167453a5-7fde-4bde-819c-1f3d497c7db6)

I might work on polishing this environment in the future, but for now, I'm pleased with how it has come out.
